I'd just want to add that not all car rentals are hassle free. We just returned from a trip to Cancun, where we rented a car from EZ Rental / CarPlus. The car was supposed to cost us USD 93, and ended up being USD 198. The difference was all hidden costs and charges that were appearing throughout the week. All 3 cars returned when we did had the same problem. I strongly recommend anyone who's travelling there to go for an apparent slightly more expensive option, but a lot safer. Thanks for your blog.
