If you want to live a true adventure during your vacation in Cancun, take the Jungle Tour and drive a speedboat through the mangroves of the Nichupte Lagoon, in Cancun, Mexico.

The Jungle Tour is one of the most sought-after tours in Cancun since tourists enjoy a speed-up experience through the canals of the calm waters of the Nichupté lagoon. This is a three hour tour only, what makes it perfect to get back to your hotel early to enjoy the pool of your accommodation in Cancun or know some of the beaches around Cancun. It is important to be 10 minutes before the Jungle Tour scheduled time. Departure times are 8 am, 10 am, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. All tours in Cancun may change schedules or prices without previous notice. It is better to ask your travel agent before making any plans during your vacation in Cancun.

The staff from the marina will provide you with fins and a vest and you will be able to keep your personal belongings in a locker. It is advisable to bring extra money to pay the Reef National Park fee of $ 6 USD per person that is not included in the tour price and must be paid at time of registration.

This is one of the best tours in Cancun, a really exciting activity. The journey is carried out in a group of speed Boats for two people each, towards the sea up to a beautiful reef area located south of the Hotel Zone, in Punta Nizuc where you will be provided with a mask and a tube to get into the water and practice snorkel for about 45 minutes. Don’t forget your aquatic camera, since you will see lots of colorful fish including angel, butterfly, parrot, and wrasse and if you are lucky enough you will find sea turtles as well. If you do this activity, keep in mind that you must take care of the environment not touching the coral and sea creatures and not removing shells and snails from their natural habitat and bring biodegradable sunscreen. Nichupte Lagoon is a protected natural area, home to mangrove ecosystems, species of birds and marine life. The fresh water of the lagoon mixes with the salty waters of the Caribbean Sea of Punta Nizuk on the southern tip of the Hotel Zone of Cancun.

If you don’t want to participate in the snorkeling tour, you may remain in the speedboat. At the end of the tour you will be given bottled water. All the tour will be conducted by a bilingual guide.

This activity is not recommended for you if you are pregnant or if you suffer from back problem and the minimum age for driving is 18 years what means that if you are less than 17 years old, you must go on the boat accompanied by a paying adult.

Remember to wear a hat, light clothing, bathing suit and sandals and don’t forget a towel.

This is excellent news for those coming to spend their vacation in Cancun, and especially for Tequila lovers, or those who just want to hear about Mexico’s most entrenched traditions.

In late April, 2010 there will be a new addition to the cultural attractions in Cancun: The Tequila Sensorial Museum. In all restaurants and bars of Cancun hotels you will find a wide variety of tequilas, but the main objective of this museum is to transmit the value of the Mexican culture and its traditions promoting acknowledgement about the Tequila’s essence through a sensorial experience and educational elements.

Tequila is made from the fermentation and distillation of the juice extracted from agave. It is perhaps the most representative worldwide drink of Mexico.

The true tequila is produced in Mexico and contains at least 51% sugars from the agave, but the purest tequilas contain 100% agave. In the mixed tequilas, agave syrup is mixed with corn or sugar cane. Pure tequila producers place the legend “100% agave” on the bottle labels.

Tequila with appellation of origin is prepared by combining modern technology and a craft process, so you can take it home as the perfect souvenir for your loved ones when you return from your vacation in Cancun.

Tequila is a delicious Mexican drink up to the best liquors in the world, however, the price of tequila in Mexico is much cheaper than in any other country and you can get it easily in Cancun.

This Tequila museum is expected to be one of the favorite attractions in Cancun for drinking experts and it will be located in blvd. Kukulcan km 12.5, Hotel Zone Cancun.

Shopping in Cancun is can be a really great experience if you know where to look. There are several options for shopping in Cancun. You can shop around the shops and plazas on Cancun’s famous Hotel Zone or you can get out of the tourist area and head downtown. One of Cancun’s greatest downtown markets is Market 28.

You can start by taking a taxi or a bus downtown. If you chose to take the bus, you will need to get on Route-2 and make sure you tell the driver that you are going to Market 28. Once you get off the bus and walk to where the market is, you will see just how impressive this market is. Market 28 is a maze of shops and stalls. If you can’t find what you are looking for in Market 28, you won’t find it in Cancun. You can find everything from jewelry, clothes, and souvenirs to handbags, glassware and pottery.

While you are shopping around Cancun’s Market 28, you will learn how to haggle. Most items are not marked prices because the owners judge the price based on how much you look like you can afford. So be prepared to haggle. You will notice that as soon as you start to walk away, the price gets lower! So don’t give in too quickly and bargain low. If they say $100, offer $50 and then go from there. Using that technique, you will find really great prices for everything you need from your Cancun vacation.

It is best to travel and shop in groups, but Market 28 is very safe. There are regular patrols by the local Cancun police and is therefore very safe, but just incase, make sure you know where to get help and chose a meeting place and time if you get separated from your group. And should you chose to go alone, make sure that you tell your traveling party or the hotel front desk where you are going and when you will return. Market 28 is quite large and crowded so be aware of your surroundings and always follow the basic safety steps. If you are ever in doubt, find a policeman and seek help.

All in all, Market 28 in Cancun can be a great shopping experience in Cancun. So make sure to check out Market 28 on your next Cancun vacation!

Of the many things to do in Cancun, one of the best often gets overlooked. CrocoCun Zoo is a hidden treasure just south of Cancun‘s famous hotel zone. The CrocoCun Zoo actually began in 1985 as a breeding program for crocodiles, but in 1988 when Cancun was hit by hurricane Gilbert, the park was devastated and looked to be closing. After a little remodeling, the breeding ground became the CrocoCun Zoo, an Eco Park and animal shelter. The CrocoCun Zoo is home to hundreds of animals that would otherwise have no where to go.

You may be concerned when you get to CrocoCun Zoo because of some of the animals being tethered to trees or in enclosures, but remember the zoo is also an animal sanctuary. Many of the animals at CrocoCun Zoo in Cancun were rescued from either abusive owners or injured in the wild. The animals that live in the CrocoCun Zoo in Cancun cannot survive in the wild. So although it may seem cruel to keep them tethered or locked up, it is for their own safety. And although the domesticated animals are tethered, the wild animals are always invited and encouraged to play and interact with the domesticated animals in hopes that one day they we be able to be released back into the wild.

CrocoCun Zoo is home to many kinds of animals. Monkeys, snakes, deer, native birds and of course, crocodiles! During your tour through the CrocoCun Zoo, you will be able to get to know these animals up close and personal by petting and feeding them.
Among the many activities available in Cancun, fishing is one of the most popular. Here in Cancun, there are many different ways you can chose to fish! Fly fishing, bottom fishing and of course, you can just toss a line in the lagoon if you like, but the most popular is deep sea fishing!

Deep sea fishing is extremely popular. The large game combined with the fight and struggle to keep your catch makes deep sea fishing one of the most exciting sports you will find here in Cancun. This is how you will come to catch some of the most sought after fish that the Gulf of Mexico has to offer! Just 25 miles off the Cancun shore, you can fish for Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Sailfish, Black fin Tuna and even Barracuda!

Those particular species of fish are what make deep sea fishing in Cancun so exciting. The female Blue Marlin can weigh up to 1,200 pounds and be up to 13 feet long! Imagine the fight it takes to reel in a fish that size! The Grouper fish can also be a challenge. Up to 200 pounds, this fish will test anyone’s strength and endurance!

As exciting as this sounds, fishing like this requires lots of equipment and expertise, but lucky for you, there are many companies available that rent everything you need in one all-inclusive price. Whichever company you chose, you are sure to find the best service. Most companies in Cancun have the same basic plans. You can chose a four, six, or eight hour fishing trip and either a private boat or you can share with another group of fishermen. These services usually come complete with transportation to and from your Cancun hotel and fish cleaning so your hotel restaurant can cook your fish anyway that you’d like! Some even offer an on-boat barbeque!

There are many companies to chose from and some might suit your needs better than others, so always talk with your concierge service to find out which company will be the best for you and to help you get the best deals and rates possible! Fishing on your Cancun vacation can be the one of the best and most exciting experiences that you will have!

The first week of March is one of the craziest time to be in Cancun because March is the time for Carnival! In conjuncture with the Brazilian holiday, Cancun hosts its own version of Carnival. With parades, parties, concerts, dancing and contests Carnival is a great time no matter your age! Carnival usually lasts about five days, but in those five days the main streets are packed with people, parties and events. Just a ten minute taxi ride from the Hotel Zone, Carnival is easy to get to and just as much fun!

In May, the Jazz Festival comes to Cancun! The Jazz Festival is a very relaxed event. Usually hosted outdoors and sometimes even on the beach, the Jazz Festival is the perfect way to relax away a weekend. Concessions are always available along with jazz concerts all day long. Here you will be able to explore and “taste” all the different types of jazz that Cancun and the Mayan Riviera have to offer!

September is a busy month for Cancun! Hosting the Cancun Iron-man Contest, the Latin American Food Show and then celebrating Mexican Independence Day, Cancun is buzzing with activity during September! The Iron-man Contest is open to anyone who would like to join and includes biking, swimming, running, lifting and many other events to test your skills! The Latin American Food Show is hosted at the Hilton and showcases food, wine and tequila from all over Latin America. You can taste, test, smell and buy anything that you see there are often walk away with a few great recipes!

In November on the first and the second, we celebrate the Day of the Dead here in Cancun and in the rest of the Mayan Riviera. Many places, like Xcaret Park, host celebrations including dances, food and traditional events of the holiday. Celebrating the Day of the Dead in Cancun will surely give you an understanding of the unique cultural embrace of death. Not to mention the fun, food and parties hosted in the honor of those lost.

All through the year Cancun is buzzing with activity and events. There is always something to do, some event to attend or a concert to see! So no matter when you chose to come visit Cancun, you will always find something fun to do and memories to take with you
