The cute Travelocity’s “Roaming Gnome” campaign is one of the hot travel topics again. The latest travel competition for this summer is between Cancun, Hawaii and Jamaica, all three known to be the most beautiful beach destinations in the world.
The world traveler’s favorite icon, with his red hat that reminds us of Christmas season and long white bird, may be about to pick Cancun, Mexico as its next stop in the “Summer of Possibilities Tour” of Travelocity. Today, Cancun remains in second place with 41% of votes from Hawaii that features 46% of votes.
Once chosen, Cancun will grant the Roaming Gnome with an array of possibilities none of the other destinations can provide, such as swimming with Whale Sharks, zip lining, extraordinary cultural sites, gourmet cuisine, first class infrastructure, and much more. If Cancun wins, the Roaming Gnome will post photos and comments about his experiences, allowing fans and followers to keep up with his journey every step of the way.
The “Summer of Possibilities Tour” was launched on June 26th and consists on a six week summer adventure between three rival destinations. The summer destination that receives more free votes from the public will become the winner, and will be listed one of the six destinations where the Travelocity’s Roaming Gnome will head to. Fans are able to vote at www.votetravelocity.com, voting for Cancun began on Wednesday July 22th and will last 6 days, revealing the winner next Wednesday.
