Cancun was named the “Best Destination for a Beach Vacation” in Mexico by TravelAge West, as part of the magazine´s 2009 Editor´s Picks Awards. Other Mexican destinations that also won the award in this category were Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Maya.
This is the fourth year that TravelAge West has carried out these well-renown awards of the travel industry. They were hotels, vacation destinations, cruise lines, tour operators and airlines are named as the best choice in each one of their fields. The goal of TravelAge West’s WAVE (Western Agents’ Voice of Excellence) Awards is to give travel agents in the western U.S. the opportunity to recognize the outstanding qualities and services of their travel-supplier partners.
