Weather is one of the most important things you should be aware of before planning your first Cancun vacation, yet is one of the last things to worry about. The weather in Cancun is warm and tropical all year round, and moderated by the cool marine breezes that circulate throughout the Hotel Zone and reach the city streets. Cancun is mostly humid with an average close to 70 percent on rain free days, which makes it one of the favorite vacation destinations of the world for water sports, beach lounging and outdoor activities.

Hot & Cold . Temperatures gradually rise in spring from 25 up to 32 degrees Celsius (77-90 F) throughout the months of April to August, which is considered the best time to visit Cancun. The warm weather in Cancun is cooled off in autumn by the rainy season, which also experiences a hurricane season that threatens the Caribbean from June until November.  The cool weather in Cancun starts in November and can last until February with low temperatures between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius (65-77 F).

Average Temperatures. Cancun has a fantastic sunny weather with clear blue skies. The average annual temperatures range from 30 degrees Celsius (86 F) in summer and 26 degrees Celsius (78 F) in winter.

Dry/ Rainy Season. Cancun´s weather consists of a dry season in February, March and April and there are two rainy seasons from May through to June and then October through to December. Rain usually can be experienced in the afternoons, and can be seen frequently in the months of September and October where a strange phenomena can be observed, when skies turn from overcast to sunny hot in minutes.
